Gift Prints and Wall Art – Your Collections Guide

After your session is complete and you’ve chosen your favourites it’s time to decide – what exactly will I *do* with them?

Premium Collections include digital images as well as a print credit. What this means is that you have money to spend- and it’s YOUR choice.  So what exactly are “gift prints” and “wall art”?

Gift prints range from 8×12 to wallet size, for your mantle frames and grad announcements.  These are the ones you share with Grandma and preserve in albums.  I offer a set of five as a Gift Print Set for a special price.

Your Collection may also come with mounted Wall Art, or you can use your print credit. “Wall Art” are larger pieces to display in your home or office.
This can be a print you’ll have framed, or you can choose to have mounted and UV protected through me, as a complimentary upgrade. Or perhaps you prefer the elegance of a canvas, or an edgy true metal print, with your image transferred onto protective metal.


Where your final images will be displayed and how you will share them is an important part of the decision process.  Every time you walk by that large canvas on the wall, and see the faces of the ones you love the most, you’ll be glad you did.

Life After College – Graduation Portraits the Woodlands TX

I always wonder about my high school seniors, and I know they’re all out there living their best lives. So it’s fantastic when I get to see them again and get updates! College Graduation Portraits – The Woodlands Photographer

This beautiful Sam Houston University student graduated with her diploma and landed a great job as a teacher, and she and her family chose to celebrate this huge achievement with a senior style portrait session complete with my hair and make up artist. This is the  first half of her session, around the building area of the location in Spring before moving out into the field for a styled boho session. She chose some beautiful outfits (check out those hot heels!) and brought some fun props, like the flag from her alma mater (love that cute pose!). I had a great time working with this college grad for her special portraits as she moved out into the great big world to start her new career!

Portraits at Home – The Woodlands Fall Family Photographer

Our lives are busy and when the holidays are just around the corner, it gets even busier! One thing on your to do list is sending out Christmas cards to family and friends, and it takes planning and time. One thing that can make your life a little easier, if you have a well lit space around your home property, is to save time and effort by having your family portraits done right at home!

This helps especially when you have small children and dogs, so you give them a little time to relax between takes, with access to their toys, a space to play, and of course, those doggie treats!

Look around your property at the time the shoot will be, and see if you have a nicely lit (open shade, not in direct sunlight) space with no distractions. A backdrop of trees is always pretty, to add some festive greenery. If you have that perfect spot, fantastic! That can definitely make the holiday card photoshoot a little easier for everyone!

Online Media Profiles – The Woodlands Headshot Photographer

Having an online profile, with a professional headshot, is essential in the digital era where businesses are connecting on social media in similar ways to how we connect person to person in our personal lives. From LinkedIn to Instagram, businesses are actively engaging on social media platforms with potential clients and business partners, to tell more about their story.

An important part of this is introducing your business team. With various media profiles, you’ll need to make sure your professional headshot is appropriate for the format. For example, on LinkedIn, the profile space is smaller and round, making it harder to get noticed. For this profile, you’ll want a close up, zoomed in portrait to be recognized. For your headshot session, we’ll make sure to get a flattering close up head/shoulder portrait that will work in this small space.

 

The close up portrait is also good for other social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and for use on business cards. Layouts can have a vertical portrait, with the text to the side, so it’s helpful to have one handy, as magazine publications also use this layout. Fun Fall Family Photos – The Woodlands and Spring Family Portraiture

Fall is definitely one of the best seasons to take your family’s pictures! It’s much cooler, so you and the kids will be much more comfortable. You can wear all your cute fall sweaters and boots, plus the color scheme for fall is just so flattering, with it’s warm oranges, blues, greens, and deep reds. And all the fall color!

You’ll want to pick a location where you can sit down comfortably, without fear of what might be lurking in the long grass if you have very small children and babies. A local park is perfect for this!  Ask me about different local parks in our area, and I can show you sample shots taken from each spot around town.
