This maternity shoot made me incredibly happy for a multitude of joyous reasons. First, as always, I started with fantastic clients who liked to laugh and were up for anything. Add a gorgeous location, amazing light and some of the best styling I’ve seen this year — that all adds up to a seriously gorgeous maternity session. With her Premium Collection upgrades this mama received a 10×10 custom designed specialty album and the entire digital gallery in a boutique image box. I couldn’t choose a favourite from all her images!
When shooting a maternity session, I want to be sure to include the father-to-be as much as possible if he’s present. This is the story of YOU. This is the story of how your family started.
This mama-to-be picked a perfect day for her session, with golden light and just a touch of haze that peeked in occasionally for a softer emotive portrait. I love the tenderness of her looking away, lost in thought, amongst the tall grasses.
Above all, it’s about love and life. Your life. This new life.
