Come read my excellent feature over at Focused Photographers! I showcase some of my senior photography work in the Woodlands, Spring and Conroe, TX and discuss what makes for a successful senior session.    The Woodlands Premiere Senior Photographer.

Ready for Part 2 of Celenia’s amazing senior pictures? I already featured Part 1 here, so check out the first half of her senior portraits where we went on location for some architectural elements to add interest and flair to her high school graduation photos. She has such an amazing sense of style, and when we headed out to the country for the second half of her senior session she brought along a few outfits that perfectly fit the earthy country chic look.
We had such gorgeous golden light!
Another outfit change into this sweet peach summer dress, with lace accents. This little country road was a perfect spot, and we found some purple flowers for some creative senior portraits to go above and beyond. You want your senior pictures to be unique, and show all sides to your personality.
One last outfit change as the sun is starting to set! Using a wide angle lens, you get a sense of drama you can’t get with standard portrait lenses. I’m all about variety, and using different angles and lenses to get the right look for each pose. I love the sassy poses Celenia has here, a bit of a rockstar edge with the black shirt and trendy high waisted shorts. Girl has some style!
And no senior photo shoot is complete without pictures in your high school letterman jacket! Congratulations to Celenia for her accomplishments and good luck in her future career as a cosmetologist.

Senior Portrait Posing – The Woodlands Senior Photographer
Got a case of the nerves?
As I’m now booking for the Class of 2015 Senior Portraits (dates in the fall are already going!) the phone is ringing with excited soon-to-be senior girls looking forward to their epic senior photo shoots. Still, it’s not uncommon that I’ll hear one of my clients confess to being a little nervous and anxious about getting in front of the camera. If you’re a little nervous, don’t worry — you’re not alone! I know it can be a little nerve wracking with a camera lens pointed at you, and you’re worried that you won’t know what to do. “How will I pose? Am I going to look awkward?” might be going through your head right now and the shoot is still months away!
You can stop worrying right now. We’re going to meet before the session. I’m going to get to know you a little, so you feel comfortable with me and trust me to take amazing photos of you. I don’t click the shutter until I have you in the most beautiful light, at the perfect angle, using the right lens for the shot, and until I’ve made you at ease, or got you laughing naturally. We’ll have fun, you’re going to have a great time! I know just how to get those serene and beautiful shots naturally, so your “poses” don’t look fake or canned.
So take a deep breath and relax – you’re going to be fabulous!
Klein Collins Highschool – Senior Photographer in the Woodlands
I had so much fun with Miss Kim for her senior photography shoot this month! As a true Texas girl, we knew a field and country road would be perfect for her senior portraits – cowboy boots, a lacy white dress, lots of wood textures, earthy colours, and just the right shades of teal and blue to bring out those gorgeous blue eyes!
It’s not too late to book a last minute senior portrait session with me before grad! CLICK HERE to email me for more information and check out my SENIOR PORTFOLIO HERE.
Congratulations on your graduation Kim and good luck next year!
