Headshots in the Woodlands – The Question of Glasses

I have a lot of clients who ask if they should wear their glasses during their headshot session. That’s a personal question, and there area  couple of factors to consider. 

Do you absolutely need the glasses, and you feel strange without them? I would advise having your headshots taken exactly the way you look in every day life, so you feel comfortable and everyone will recognize you. 

However, if they are not always necessary, you can take a few without them for some variety. Also, consider if they are reflective. If so, the glare can hide your eyes, so it may be better to leave them off for a couple shots, or make sure the ones you bring show your entire pupil without obstruction.

Whatever you choose, I’m sure you’ll shine in your new profile photo!

Corporate Headshot Portfolio – The Woodlands Business Photographer

For both corporate executives and business owners  it’s important to project an image of professionalism,  and to have great headshots of you for LinkedIn, corporate directories, websites and to have them available for featured articles about your company. A good portfolio should include a few basic headshots, as well some more interesting portraits that tell the story of your business and what you stand for.

This corporate executive, head of the North American operations for an international I.T company, booked a MEDIA PORTFOLIO SESSION with myself and make up artist Monika Gallardo for a full portfolio of images. These included the standard headshots, but also some more fun and lifestyle photographs for more personality and character. We used the office set up, and then headed outdoors for some environmental street shots, with several outfit changes.

I loved this shoot, and congratulate this amazing woman on her successful career and upcoming print and magazine features.

I had another wonderful opportunity to meet and work with a local business person here in the Woodlands, shooting these headshots for Dr. Jaimie Kocian of JKDentistry in the heart of the Woodlands.  Click here to visit her website.

The Woodlands Headshots Professional Portraits

I have to say, I get a little star struck when local celebrities call up for headshots!  I was really excited to meet this local actress at her home in the Woodlands for new headshots to reflect her new look.
