Lifestyle and Business – Headshots in the Woodlands

I shot this series of lifestyle and formal headshots for this young businesswoman in the Woodlands, for her new business with life coaching. I really enjoyed meeting and photographing this bright young woman, and discussing her business. For her headshot photoshoot, we were looking for both formal headshots as well as more lifestyle images to incorporate into magazines and her website, for a more approachable feel to her business. She chose the Media Portfolio package, to get a better variety of images for her needs and incorporate several outfit changes into her session.  Best of luck to this young entrepreneur!

Family Photographer in the Woodlands in the Park

We had a lovely afternoon for these family portraits in the park, with just the right mix of sunlight and cloudy skies to make for beautiful light! This family was styled to perfection too – blue and peach are two colours that photograph beautifully and they mixed up the shades enough to make their colour palette more complimentary. I just loved the happy faces of the children, they were so cooperative for the family photoshoot, which made my  job so easy!  Great family fun!

I really enjoyed meeting this business consultant in the Woodlands, for his headshot session around the Woodlands business district. We were looking for a less traditional, busy “street scene” vibe for his headshots, for a modern look. Using the glass wall and shooting down the street against the buildings is an atmospheric look for headshots if you want a contemporary look for your business profile picture.

Now Offering At Home Newborn Sessions – The Woodlands and Spring Family Photographer

I’m now offering at home newborn sessions, for families who prefer a relaxed and family oriented approach to newborn photography. These sessions take place in your own home, at your convenience.  At home newborn sessions emphasize  the welcoming of a new life in your home, without artificial props and posing.  Our goal is to photograph your family in a more natural way, in your own environment, and focuses on the love and comfort we feel together as family.

RETAINER: $200 for a 2 hour session.  Travel fees may apply if you live outside the Woodlands area.
COLLECTIONS: I offer 3 Collections, with full resolution digital images, starting at $625. Top Collections include wall portraits or albums, and print credits.

If you have older children, posing with their new sibling at home is a safe, comfortable place for them to hold and pose with the new baby.  Lifestyle sessions are home are often preferred in black and white, but we’ll have color as well.

We will also take photos of your newborn, without forced poses. This is a good opportunity to use any special blankets or clothes.

Seniors in the Woodlands – Minis for Boys

When it comes to senior boys, they want simple and fast. Moms want some great shots of their sons before they head out to college, classic portraits for yearbooks and keepsakes. The best compromise is to book one of my mini sessions for senior boys! It’s short and sweet, at just one hour, which the guys appreciate. Business Headshots for Law Firm

I loved this criminal defense attorney’s office! I met with her at her Conroe office location to shoot headshots for her new website and business cards, with the grand opening of the new firm she is co-founding. It’s not often you see this kind of interior brick in the Woodlands, Spring or Conroe for business offices when shooting headshots, so I was pleased with the urban look it lent to her shots.

I offer several different levels and price points for business headshots, depending on the needs of the client. The Basic Headshot session for when you need just a few classic head shots for LinkedIn, business cards or directories. Then, options for longer shoots if you are looking to rebrand, create a website that needs a variety of photographs and viewpoints, or for magazine features. The Woodlands High School Senior Photographer

I love everything about this senior session! This is the first part of Lexi’s senior portrait photoshoot, since she had so many beautiful outfits and sets in there it would be impossible to put all her amazing shots in one post!

She had the most perfect weather, the perfect clothes, and the perfect hair and make up (done by my preferred stylist), so it all came together beautifully. In this post, I’m putting the more “nature” inspired photos we took around this Woodlands location, with her pretty dresses in the  amazing golden light amid the greenery.

What to Wear for Spring Senior Portraits

Getting ready for senior pictures? I have already posted about how to wear your favourite cowboy boots for your senior portraits, so go check out that blog post here: What to Wear for Senior Pictures in the Woodlands and Spring – Cowboy Boots Edition. With spring sessions almost fully booked for the class of 2016, let’s talk spring dresses!

You have your trendy outfit, your favourite jeans, your letterman jacket, and maybe your prom dress or your favourite cosplay costume all packed up and ready to go. To round out your senior portraits, and celebrate spring, consider showing your sweet girly side with a flowy spring dress in an airy neutral or pastel shade, to coordinate with the blooming spring wildflowers.

Do you see yourself in a long plain dress, with a big floppy sunhat and espadrilles adding colour and character?   Or would you rather wear this season’s trendy print, in a fresh spring shade?  Choose the colour palette you want to build off, from neutral to vibrant florals, taking into consideration the vibe you want to give off — sweet and innocent, fresh and bright, or airy and emotive.

THE CLASSIC WHITE DRESS
One of the freshest looks for spring is the classic white dress. It can be styled up or down, hippie or hipster, uptown or country. The beauty of the plain white dress is that you let the supporting colours and accessories take center stage. Adding blue or teal feels beachy and an ode to summer, while adding warm tones like coral or sunset orange feel earthy and floral. And any footwear — from high heels to bare toes — won’t look out of place.

ADD ACCESSORIES
Glam your outfit up or down with hats, scarves, belts and boots. Go shabby chic with tasseled headpieces  or boho style with a floral crown with barefeet. Keep the colour tones in mind and try to mesh your accessories so they make sense — natural fibres with earthy toned clothing, petite and girly for feminine and airy sundresses, nude heels with classic styles. You can even add on matching props, such as umbrellas, flowers, feathers or shawls.

Country Style Texan Senior Pictures – The Woodlands Photographer

This beautiful senior chose one of my favourite spots for her senior portraits! With some old style buildings, the country vibe and the natural elements like wood and long grass, this whole senior session was so much fun to style and shoot for that pure Texan look with her boots and a gauzy white shirt.

Since we shoot for 3 hours, my seniors get multiple outfit changes, for several different looks. This senior started with a gorgeous formal black dress with lace, and her hair was perfectly styled with long ringlets at my preferred stylist.

We walked around the shops and found some nice buildings with geometric shapes to add interest to her senior portraits, using architecture. This is always adds a nice variety to a senior session, especially when a portion of the shoot will be done in a field or grassy areas without landmarks.

At Home Family Portraits – Tomball and the Woodlands

There are many reasons why you might like to have your family portraits taken at home. Maybe, like this beautiful family who I met last year for their family portraits outdoors when they were a family of three, you have a newborn baby who is just a little too young and delicate to take outside in the cold weather!  I just adore this family, they’re always so happy and peaceful and just a joy to spend some time with, and their little ones are just beautiful! New little brother joined for the family portraits this year, and the weather took a cold turn, so we moved the shoot indoors and made use of their gorgeous master bedroom for some cozy at home family portraits.

The Woodlands Photographer – Family Generations

This lovely family met with me on a beautiful sunny day for family portraits, with three generations. I love family portraits that include grandparents and grandchildren, as these are the priceless family photos we share and pass down for years to come. As a family photographer here in the Woodlands, Spring, and Conroe, it’s always nice to meet new people and get a chance to watch them have fun while they make memories!

I also really like the colours and style they chose for their family pictures, with the red and blue together with the denim. It’s classy and colourful, but still casual enough so you don’t feel too formal for your family portraits.

The Woodlands Photographer – End of Year 2015

I want to say a HUGE thank you to all my clients from 2015 for making it a wonderful year full of fun sessions! I remember each and every one of you, and I really enjoyed meeting all of you and sharing some laughs while we made beautiful pictures! Senior and her Horse – The Woodlands and Magnolia

This gorgeous high school senior came all the way from Austin to have her senior portraits taken in Magnolia with her horse, and what a fabulous session it was! This is the first part of her senior portrait session, with her riding habit around the barn and with her beloved horse.

As with all high school senior photography sessions with Shannon Stroubakis in the Woodlands and surrounding areas, we shot for three hours with multiple outfit changes and Miss Natalee had her hair and make up professionally done by my expert stylist in a private salon room in the Woodlands.  At our Pre Consultation, we went over the perfect styling for her senior portrait session, and came up with the best way to showcase her amazingly unique style and personality!

These portraits with her sweet horse were just magical. The light and this stunning dress could not have been more beautiful.

Realtor Headshots – The Woodlands

I had a great time shooting headshots for this real estate agent at this gorgeous home in the Woodlands, for her business branding. Your business portraits are very important to showcase your business style as well as your personality, when your brand is about selling you and the experience of working with you. Your business headshots should be professional, while also showing some warmth. When building your  real estate agent brand, show yourself  in the homes you are selling if possible, so potential clients get a glimpse not only of you but also the amazing service you provide and the beautiful homes you represent, so they can image themselves working with you and living in that real estate.

When booking headshots, you get a full half an hour for the Basic Headshot package, which is enough time for a change of wardrobe to get two different styles to your portraits. We also shoot indoor and outdoor if there is suitable space.

Tomball Family Pictures

This sweet family from Tomball met with me on a gorgeous fall day for family pictures in the park, and the light was just magical! Their little one was so handsome and so much fun to work with, I had a lot of fun with this family for their holiday card pictures! There is nothing like giving out Christmas cards to your family and friends with beautiful pictures of your family!

This first image is now a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas, hanging in their home to enjoy every day! I love being able to provide heirloom quality products to my clients to appreciate year round, and to show off to visitors to their home. The Woodlands Family Portraits in the Park

This lovely family came to me for their first ever portrait session as a family!  We chose this pretty park in the Woodlands for the greenery and this perfect bridge, and the light was really beautiful that day. We are having such a fantastic fall for family pictures, and I’m enjoying being outdoors on location for these sessions!

We started with more formal portraits on the bridge, for traditional family pictures for holiday cards and Christmas gifts for family.

Family Portraits – The Woodlands and Tomball

This beautiful family met with me on a perfect day full of sunlight and clear skies for their family portraits here in the Woodlands nearby Tomball. We wanted to shoot a mixture of posed portraits and some fun lifestyle images of the family just being together, for some real life type family pictures. I always love these natural family pictures best, with the warmth of laughter and happy smiles. Families tend to initially request standard portraits for their large wall pieces, such as framed portraits or canvases, but most often end up choosing the more natural, less posed lifestyle shots for their living room centerpiece.

This family chose this gorgeous shot of them walking together, hand in hand and laughing, down this sunlight path surrounded by greenery for their mantle piece. This image is now a 32×48 gallery wrapped canvas in their living room, and when I delivered it to their home and saw it there on the wall, I was so pleased to provide such a beautiful piece of wall art for this family to hand down through generations.
