If your headshot shows you as a redhead with short hair, but you’re now a long haired blonde, you’ll want to update to your current style. You want the people who meet you in person to recognize you from your portrait.

Clothes, hairstyles, make up and even headshot fashions go out of style. Think of those laser light school shots from the 80’s or 90’s Grease-style glamour shots. If your headshot has an outdated sense of fashion, modernize it. The current trend for headshots is away from the traditional studio and outside for a cosmopolitan feel.
